A holistic, voice-centric approach to audition monologues where we balance left brain work (structure, grammar, punctuation, syntax) with the right brain work (action, tactics, reactions, emotional life) to give you a comprehensive approach to any text. When you come at it from all angles, you’ll feel confident knowing you’ve ensured that you’re audition-ready.

By our third session, your piece will be off-book and on its feet! You’ll get expert feedback on pacing, building the arc of the piece, and shaping it for whatever medium you’re auditioning for (self-tapes, in person, grad school auditions). SESSION 1: LEFT BRAIN WORK

An overview of the PK Method, initial text work to understand the structure, grammar, and operative language of the piece and glean any clues we can from the playwright. It’s like a puzzle we solve together. 

SESSION 2: RIGHT BRAIN WORK

You bring your interpretation of the text and we workshop various approaches to see what best serves the piece. We infuse it with your imagination. This is grounded in action and reaction. We explore how the voice is the conduit for your acting choices. 

SESSION 3: PUTTING IT TOGETHER

You’re on your feet, off-book, and trusting you’ve put the work in. We try mock-feedback where we put your skills to the test to see how you can shift the piece while maintaining the integrity of the structural work.

Whether you’re new to acting or you’ve trained for years, The Audition Transformation is for actors who are ready to level up their audition game. I’ve coached folks auditioning for both undergraduate and graduate programs, summer intensives, national tours, cruises, Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, regional work, commercials, voiceover, TV, and feature films. This coaching is individualized and catered to the needs of your desired projects and goals.

Yes! I am a monologue expert. I created a Monologue Database with 200 vetted contemporary monologues. Alternatively, if you want me to hand-pick one for you based on your needs, I charge $50/monologue and will send you a couple options to choose from.

Any audition texts. Most folks bring monologues, but we’ve also worked on scenes, sides, commercial copy, and voiceover copy. Contemporary, modern, classical – you bring it, we’ll tackle it. And not just the text, we’ll make sure we cover everything from sight-lines, to body language, to adapting your vocal and physical needs to the size of the space.

My goal as a coach is to meet my students where they’re at, not force an agenda, so you come as you are and we work from where you’re at. It’s as simple as that.
