The Art of Presence: Embodiment and Attunement for Connection and Healing
In a world that often prizes speed, productivity, and abstraction over embodied presence, many of us feel disconnected from our intuition and from meaningful connection with others.
This experiential workshop sits at the intersection of art, creativity, and mental health. It explores how reconnecting with our bodies and attuning to others can support both healing and relational connection.
Participants will be introduced to the foundations of embodiment and attunement. To be self-reflexive requires the foundations of being grounded and present in the body whilst maintaining a sensitive responsiveness to self, others, and the environment.
Drawing on actor training methods, we will investigate how the body communicates through posture, breath, and movement. Participants will then explore different stages of presence, connection, and quality of attention. We will reflect on how these dynamics apply in therapeutic, community, and workplace settings.
By bridging the creative experiential work with trauma-informed awareness, this session offers practical tools for cultivating presence and relational sensitivity for more authentic and transformative connection.
